Stare Test: 60-second direct gaze at asset; observer reports involuntary squint at 42 s. Result: PRESENT, NO OPTICAL ARTIFACTS. Wind Tunnel: incremental ramp to 18 m/s, yaw ±15°. Result: FLEX WITH RECOVERY; BASELINE PULSE UNCHANGED. High-Speed Sandpaper: P120 upstroke at 2 m/s, three passes. Result: KERATIN RESPONSE; HEAT TINGE, NO DELAMINATION. Control: adjacent forehead skin shows expected matte; only the toe exhibits nail sheen under raking light.

Handling & Behavior Notes

Stable state: matte, cooperative, temperature neutral. Agitated triggers: abrupt lens approach within 4 cm, hairline cross-breeze, low-frequency whoosh. Agitated signs: micro-curl, faint tap against dermis (audible at desk distance), nail brightening under 6500K. Do not: moisturize pre-test, apply adhesive props, or attempt sock-fit. Transport: upright case, foam cradle crown-down, label UP-TOE. Post-test care: dab cool cloth; debrief asset (soft tone).
